Tata Motors has been growing by leaps and bounds in the previous few years and the manner in which they have capitalized on the success of their brilliant new products is worth an applause. Thus building upon the same, the company has made an update in the Tata Tiago and brought in a booted version of the hatchback. Called, the Tigor will be competing against the sub-4 meter compact sedans in the Indian market but we assure you, it’s one of the best looking among all these vehicles.
Tata Tigor Exterior
Tata Tigor is based upon the Tiago hatchback which looks brilliant thanks to the automaker’s IMPACT design philosophy. The front fascia gets upswept smoked headlamps, which flank the humanity line on the front grille and the bumper which houses the chrome tipped fog lamps. Moving towards the sides it gets 14 inch alloy wheels and the newly integrated boot neatly adds to the whole design in a styleback form which reminds of a coupe. The rear end gets wraparound LED tail-lamps.
Tata Tigor Interior
The interiors have been directly lifted from the Tiago hatchback and follow the premium philosophy that has been expected from the new Tata vehicles. The Tigor interiors will follow a black and grey theme while the central console has been finished in piano black and gets the class leading ConnectNext infotainment system which comes with four speakers and four tweeters. The system is loaded with GPS, USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity options. It houses more than 20 storage spaces along with 219-liters of boot space, making it an extremely practical vehicle.
Tata Tigor Engine Specifications and Mileage
The engine department is taken care of by a 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine which produces a power output of 84 bhp with 114 Nm of torque while the 1.03 litre Revotorq diesel motor produces 69 bhp with 140 Nm of torque. The transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual transmission. The mileage from the petrol is around 23 kmpl whereas the diesel can deliver 27 kmpl.
