Built on Tata’s new design theme, the Nano GenX looks more stylish, whereas the new cosmetic additions furnish it with more appealing stance. A new design language on the front facia of Nano GenX offers a descent look for the A-segment hatchback and Tata Motors has managed to maintain overall appearance proportion on front and rear end. The front bumper gets an absolute makeover along with a perforated radiator grille that bears a resemblance to a smiley face.
The cabin continues to feature same centrally fitted instrument panel along with circular air vents. The biggest addition is the chrome finished gear stick that comes along with AMT gear box. Nano is branded to provide spacious room for the occupants in spite of compact cabin and it remains same in this new version of Nano. The AMT versions offer 94 litres of boot space whereas the manual variant offers 110 litres of storage capacity.
Engine and Performance
Tata Motor has retained the same 2-cylinder 624cc petrol engine that generates 37.5bhp of maximum power and peak torque of 51Nm. When combined with CNG fuel kit, this engine has the capability to churn 32.5bhp of maximum power and 45Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are performed by 4 speed manual transmission gearbox that further enhances the driving experience.
Tata Nano GenX competes with Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon in Indian market.
