Customers stand a chance of winning minimum cash back of INR 2000 going up to INR 50,000. Few lucky customers will get a chance to win 50% or 100% cash back. Tata Indigo Celebration Edition – Standard variant features Seat Cover, Steering Wheel Covers, Mats, Mud Flap, Drivers Kit, Celebration Edition Body Graphics, Celebration Edition badge. On the other hand, Tata Indigo Celebration Edition – Premium variant is equipped with Audio System, Seat Cover, Steering Wheel Covers, Mats, Mud Flap, Drivers Kit, Celebration Edition Body Graphics, Celebration Edition badge. While the Standard edition pack cost INR 7,000, the premium edition package is tagged at INR 10,000.
Tata Motors, Auto Giant launched Tata Indigo, compact sedan in Indian market in the price range of INR 5.31 Lakh – INR 6.21 Lakh. Tata Indigo is available with three engine options. Moreover, Tata Motor also offers attractive warranty package for two years or 75000km, whichever is reached earlier. Additionally, an option to avail an extended warranty of two years is also available.
Talking about the exterior, Tata Indigo gets an eye catching diamond grille on the front with the company badge on it. All new smoked headlamps as well as chrome-strip on the hood are also incorporated along with dual tone bumper that houses fog lamps. The side profiles gets body coloured rubrails along with chrome inserts. The rear end gets company emblem at the centre of boot door and a chrome strip above the license plate. The tail light cluster is very much uncomplicated simply featuring turn- indicators, courtesy lights and brake lamps. Talking about the dimensions, Tata Indigo eCS comes with wheelbase of 2540mm and length of 3988mm, width of 1620mm, and height of 1540mm. The vehicle has a modest ground clearance of 165mm which can be better.
On the inside, Tata Indigo gets comfortable seats as they come with premium fabric and reclining function. Moreover, power outlet at the front is very handy for charging phones and devices. The steering wheel gets leather wrapped ensuring a firm hold. Both of the seats at the front come along with headrests. The instrument cluster features several functions which are necessary to keep the driver informed.
Tata Indigo eCS comes with three engine options – a common rail CR4 diesel engine, TDi diesel mill with turbocharger and MPFi petrol engine. The CR4 diesel engine has 4-cylinders and 16-valves DOHC configuration that easily generates 69hp of maximum power and peak torque of 140Nm. However, TDi diesel engine has capability to generate maximum power of 69hp and 135Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine can easily produce 64hp of maximum power and peak torque of 100Nm. The transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed gearbox. Tata Indigo can easily touchdown 100kmph in just 15 seconds.
Price and Competition
Tata Indigo eCS is priced in the range INR 5.31 lakh – INR 6.21 lakh in the Indian market and competes with Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.
