Renault India revolutionized the highly potential oriented compact SUV segment by introducing the new Duster in the year 2012. Currently priced at INR 8.53 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the French automaker recently introduced the facelift version of the compact SUV which was also showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo this year. Also, to lure with an adventure proportion amongst the buyers, the French carmaker has launched the all new Duster Adventure Edition with a starting price of INR 9.64 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Adventure Edition is offered in three variants – RXE 85PS, RXL 85PS and RXZ AWD 110PS variants.
Previously, the automaker also introduced the limited explorer edition of Duster Compact SUV in the country to counter its competitors in the market. With the ever increasing competition in the segment, the buyers today have handful options in the market today. Being an urban compact SUV, the Duster has emerged as to-go option for the consumers. Moreover, to cash-in more from the prospect market, the company has introduced the Adventure edition to cater the needs and desires for the adventure seekers.
Renault Duster Exteriors
The new facelifted version of Duster continues to carry the same iconic crossover body style that complements an entirely refreshed front and rear profiles that sports new Hawk Eye Cluster Headlamps, Firefly Fog Lamps, Electrically Adjustable & Foldable ORVM’s with turn indicators, 16-inch Gun Metal Finish Alloy wheels, Kayak Roof Rails and Waterfall LED Tail Lamps. Moreover, it also comes with enhanced ground clearance of 210mm that can easily tackle with tough Indian terrains. Coming to the Adventure Edition, it flaunts all-new outback bronze tone with compass decals. The overall exterior profile of the adventure edition is enhanced by a black coloured front grille and rear embellisher, gun metal alloy wheels with new wheel arch, door cladding, new mustard yellow coloured roof rails and skid plates.

Coming to the dimension front, the Duster SUV flaunts the overall length of 4315mm, width of 1822mm and height of 1695mm along with wheelbase and ground clearance of 2673mm and 205mm / 210mm respectively. The Duster Adventure Edition also remains the same as that of the regular Duster Compact SUV.

The new Renault Duster is offered in Seven exciting colours – Pearl White, Galaxy Black, Moonlight Silver, Amazon Green, Woodland Brown, Comet Grey and Cayenne Orange. Moreover, the Adventure Edition is also offered in four exciting tones – Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, Slate Grey and Outback Bronze.
Renault Duster Interiors
Coming to the cabin space, the all-new Duster facelift is available with two interior themes. The AWD variant comes with Crimson-Black interior theme along with sporty fabric whereas the other variants gets Cedarwood Black interiors with premium embossed fabric that comes with dual-tone soft touch dashboard. The Duster SUV comes equipped with technology gizmos such as New Rear View Camera along with guidelines, New Automatic Air Conditioning System, New Auto-up/down window with anti-pinch, New Media Navigation, and New Centre Fascia. On the safety factor, the all-new Duster is equipped with safety features such as ABS, EBD with Brake Assist, Dual Airbags, ESP as well as Hill start assist. It also possesses additional 32 new modifications along with superior engineering, styling, safety and comfort features. Renault Duster Engine Specifications and Performance
As far as the engine specifications are concerned, the all new Duster SUV continues to carry the same a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.6-litre petrol engine. The 1.5-litre dCi HP 4-cylinder diesel engine is tuned to offer two states – 84bhp of power against the peak torque of 200Nm and 108bhp of power along with 245Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre K4M 4-cylinder petrol engine produces 103bhp of power and 148Nm of peak torque. The Transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed Easy -R Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) unit.

As far as the fuel efficiency is concerned, the petrol variant, the manual diesel variant, and diesel variant returns mileage of 13.05 kmpl, 19.72 kmpl and 19.6 kmpl respectively.

With the inclusion of Adventure Edition in the lineup, the New Duster is offered in five trim levels with 15 variants – Standard, RXE, RXL, RXS, and RXZ, offered on both diesel and petrol engine options.

Coming to the pricing, the new Renault Duster is offered with an introductory price of 8.53 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) while the top end variant gets a price tag of INR 13.67 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Coming to the Adventure Edition, the base variant RXE 85PS is priced at INR 9.64 lakh while the RXL 85PS and RXZ AWD 110PS variants are priced with tag of INR 10.45 lakh and INR 13.77 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi).

As far as the competition is concerned, the SUV lock horns against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Nissan Terrano and Honda BR-V in this competitive SUV segment.
