Seeing the growing demand for SUVs, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a range of sports utility vehicle in the country. After launching the S-Cross, India’s largest carmaker is gearing up to introduce its popular Vitara brand in the country. The vehicle has already been arrived into India, and has been spotted at MSI’s factory. It is expected that the SUV will come with two body styles- sub-4 metre and a full-sized 5-seat. The new Suzuki Vitara is expected to make its Indian debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Exterior-
Based on the iV-4 concept showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production version Suzuki Vitara was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Moor Show. The Vitara SUV features an aggressive front fascia with twin-slat chrome grille, peeled back headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, fog lamps, black coloured skid plates and aggressive bumper. The SUV comes with a dual-tone exterior scheme with contrasting roof, aerodynamic creases, floating roofline and wrap around rear end.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Interior-
The new Vitara SUV is expected to share its interior components with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno premium hatchback. The global model features boldly shaped instrument panel garnish, a U-shape design around the shift leverl, a round clock and air outlets. The top-end variant will get leather seats, leather covered multi-functional steering wheel, gear lever and inner door panels. It will also feature a 7-inch Smartplay infotainment system that supports voice command and Apple CarPlay.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Engine Specifications-
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara SUV will be offered with two engine options- 1.6-litre MJD diesel and a 1.4-litre K-Series petrol. While the former is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 320Nm of torque, the petrol motor is good for 94bhp of power and 130Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
