The Maruti Ciaz has been with us for quite some time now. In this span, it has managed to take on its biggest rivals, the Honda City and the Hyundai Verna by a storm and made its way right to the top of its respective segment in India. Replacing the ailing SX4, the Ciaz came with an attractive exterior profile along with a feature rich and premium cabin with of course the reliability factor that comes indigenous with all the Maruti cars. However, with Honda and Hyundai gearing up to launch the next-gen model os the City and Verna respectively, it’s about time that Maruti debuts the facelift version of the Ciaz as well. We expect the same to make it entry in the Indian car market by the first half of 2017 and again stand as a tough contender against it Japanese and South Korean rivals.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift 2017: Exteriors
Now as with every facelift, do not expect a complete overhaul of the Ciaz’s exterior profile. The same is most likely to feature minor upgraded done to its front and rear facia, in line with the one that we see on the S-Cross facelift. The Ciaz facelift will continue to come with its sophisticated character lines with its understated sporty nature. Up-front the headlights are to feature a slight upgrade along with an more aggressive grille. The bumper is likely to be revamped as well. When viewed from the side profile, the Ciaz facelift will be entirely identical to the model which is currently on sale in India. Coming to the rear of the this sedan, we could very well see more detailed tail-lamps with LEDs, just like the one that we see on the Baleno hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift 2017: Interiors
With its mid-life facelift, the Ciaz is most likely to feature the same interior design as that of the model that is currently on sale. However, we believe that there could be minor upgrades in terms of added features and improved material quality. Since there will be no mechanical changed done to the chassis of the vehicle, it will continue to come with its humongous back seat space. The Ciaz facelift will continue to come with features like Suzuki’s Smartplay infotainment system with touchscreen unit, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth telephony, faux wood and aluminum accents, automatic climate control, front and rear power windows and much more.

Talking about the mileage figures, the petrol engine is good for 20.4kmpl where as the 1.4-litre diesel engine boasts of 28.9kmpl, thanks to its mild hybrid SHVS technology.
