Isuzu is one of the prominent brand names in the Commercial Vehicle segment around the globe. Isuzu entered passenger car segment in the Indian market with their MU7 SUV model, couple of years back. However, Isuzu has introduced a new variant to its line up with automatic transmission.
The external appearance of Isuzu MU7 is quite appealing and attractive which features a rugged image, very much alluring to the SUV enthusiasts. The Front facia features a windscreen along with flashing wipers and a wide air dam that makes bonnet to look edgy and huge. The main highlight of front facia is the radiator grille which is painted with chrome looks provides shiny and elegant look to it. Moreover, the large headlight cluster on each sides of this grille comes integrated with a pair of halogen lights as well as side turn indicators. Talking about the side profile which is quite long because of its large wheelbase neatly carves the wheel arches that come fitted with a set of stylish wheels. The rear features a large windscreen that comes with a single wiper as well as a washer. The defogger further enhances the safety aspect. The radiant tail light cluster comes fitted with side turn blinkers. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the overall length, width and length of SUV is about 4955mm, 1800mm and 1805mm.
The internal space of this SUV is hiked up due to its long wheelbase that enhances the seating experience and level of comfort for seven occupants. Moreover, it’s not only about the large space but also the amount of comfort level in each row of this SUV. It features a touch-screen audio system, reverse camera, electric mirrors, projector headlamps, Anti-lock braking System, 2-Airbags which are incorporated as standard equipment.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, this SUV is powered by the same 3.0 litre diesel engine that has the capability to churn out 160.8bhp of maximum power and peak torque of 360Nm. The engine is also incorporated with a common rail direct injection fuel supply system that further enhances the fuel efficiency. Earlier launched with 5 speed manual transmission gearbox, Isuzu has lined up by adding automatic transmission in the new variants.
As far as the competition is concerned, the Isuzu MU7 SUV competes with the Toyota Fortuner, leader in this very segment for Indian market.
