Hyundai i20 Active is one of compact crossovers in the Indian Auto market. With the launch of Hyundai i20 Active crossover, Hyundai plans to amplify their market share and perk up their domestic sale figures.
Hyundai i20 Active crossover offers very aggressive outer appearance and splendid exterior cosmetics. Hexagonal shaped radiator grille features black colored strips provides an intimidating look to the front facade. A dual toned bumper comes with a pair of round shaped fog lamps and an aluminium nudge guard. The swept-back design headlight cluster features projector headlamps that come with a stylish LED DRLs. The side profile gets a sportier look which comes highlighted with black colored protective strips. Rear profile is another attractive aspect of this crossover as it features sleek taillight that comes along with LED brake lights. A lot of chrome accents are decorated for the tailgate thus forming insignia of the company. Rugged rear bumper comes with black colored cladding and aluminium lower cladding as well as reflector. In terms of dimensions, overall length, width and height of this crossover measures 3995mm, 1760mm and 1555mm respectively.
The interior of Hyundai i20 Active is quite different from that of its sibling, i20 hatchback. Funky interior looks along with color coded pin and dashboard accents offers extensive look. However, the instrument panel and steering wheel which is integrated with audio and Bluetooth controls are retained from the i20 hatchback. The wheelbase of 2570mm offers plenty of spacious cabin for occupants’ thus providing better seating experience with ample of leg room. The boot space compartment of 285 litres further enhances the space for luggage by folding the rear seats.
Engine and Performance
Hyundai has retained the same engine options – 1.2 litre Kappa petrol and 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine from i20 hatchback for the crossover i20 Active. The 1.2 litre petrol engine generates 82bhp of maximum power and peak torque of 114Nm that comes paired with 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.4 litre diesel engine churns maximum power of 89bhp and peak torque of 220Nm that is mated with 6-speed manual gearbox.
