Marking the presence of iconic pony car in the Indian car market, Ford India launched the much awaited Mustang GT muscle car in the country with a price tag of INR 65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Finally arriving to the Indian soil, the Ford Mustang GT earlier was spotted couple of instances in the country. Moreover, the car has been specially redesigned as per the right hand drive configuration as it makes way to the other markets such as India and UK.

In terms of design, the India-bound Mustang comes with all the traits of a Mustang muscle car that we have adored until now. Right from the aggressive projector headlamps and its sporty bumper to the muscular bumper and the protruding nose, every aspect of the car gives it that mean machine persona. The side profile gets strong shoulder lines, 5.0 badge and 19-inch alloy wheels that highlight the overall muscular appeal of the pony car. The rear profile is easily characterized by a three dimensional tailgate which bags a GT’ tag in the centre along with tri-bar tail lights. Moreover, the wider standpoint of the pony car is further enhanced by a rear diffuser, exhaust tailpipes and elegantly designed taillights. Dimensionally, the Ford Mustang GT comes with a length of 4784mm, width of 2080mm and height of 1391mm while the wheelbase and ground clearance stands at 2720mm and 137mm respectively. The 2015 muscle car is offered in 6 exciting tones – Oxford White, Ingot Silver, Triple Yellow Tri-coat, Magnetic, Race Red and Black.

On the inside, the American muscle car gets top notch all-black cabin with grey and chrome elements and hi-tech gizmos deriving it as a typical sports car type interior. Moreover, the leather upholstery accentuates the craftsmanship as steering wheel and gear knob comes with leather wrapping. Ford Mustang Engine specifications and Performance
Internationally, the Ford Mustang GT comes in three engine options –2.3-litre EcoBoost, 3.7-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8. But the one imported for homologation is the top-spec model powered by the 5.0-litre V8 that develops maximum power of 395.5bhp @ 6500 rpm along with the peak torque of 515Nm @ 4250 rpm. The transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed SelectShift automatic with paddle shifters.
