Force Gurkha to receive more powerful and cleaner engine: Likely to the 2.2-litre Mercedes-derived motor

Force India, the homegrown utility vehicle manufacturer is reportedly planning to equip its popular off-roader Gurkha with a more powerful and BS-IV compliant engine. The SUV is currently powered by a 2.6-litre BS-III compliant diesel engine, which has restricted its sales to cities supporting such emission norms. And with this new engine, the company plans to increase its reach to other cities as well.
