Volkswagen, the German premium car manufacturer has announced a 17-city roadshow for the upcoming Volkswagen Ameo compact sedan. The company has also announced that the pre-launch bookings for the compact sedan will commence from May 12, 2016. The multi-city roadshow will start from May 12 and will continue through July 2, 2016. This roadshow event will give customers an opportunity to experience the carline, explore its various features and make the bookings.
The prospective customers will also have an option to access all the details about the Ameo compact sedan through mobile application or the Volkswagen corporate website. Unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the compact sedan is likely to be launched in July 2016. It is based on the Volkswagen's PQ25 platform that also underpins the Polo and the Vento. The Ameo will be available in two fuel options- 1.2-litre 3-cylinder MPI petrol and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TDI diesel. The vehicle will be equipped with dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment across variants. It also gets first in segment features like cruise control and rain sensing wipers along with static cornering lights.
