Tata has shown exceptional trust in their Hexa lifestyle vehicle which was earlier tested for almost 8 lakh kilometers across three continents which include Australia, Europe and Asia. All this was done to reinforce the fact that the Hexa was going to be an exceptionally powerful, reliable and tough vehicle to be manufactured by Tata. The Tata Hexa is once again seen establishing that same fact by showing its might in this video where it can be seen pulling a Boeing 737 800 aircraft which weighs an approximate 66 tonne.
The Tata Hexa is powered by a 2.2 Litre VARICOR 400 engine which delivers a max power output of 155 bhp @ 4000 rpm whereas the peak torque of 400 Nm is available from lower down in the rpm band at 1700-2700 Nm. The 4X4 drivetrain which has been developed by Borg Warner has an electronically controlled AWD system which is also equipped with torque on demand function as well. A price of just INR 17,49,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) it is a great value for money proposition.
As seen in the video, the Tata Hexa has dragged the Aircraft for more than 30 meters and these are the kind of feats which only a Range Rover would try. This shows how Tata has taken notes from the British brand which it now owns and has also made the Hexa a capable product. This publicity stunt from Tata will surely make the competition to sit back and notice how the Indian car maker is marking a huge space for the new Hexa.
