A year after the launch of the new age Innova in India, with the suffix Crysta, Toyota is all set to add Touring Sport to the nomenclature as well. Today, the Japanese automaker is going to launch the the special edition, the Innova Crysta Touring Sport in the Indian car market. To be based on the top of the line ZX trim, the same is to come with a number of cosmetic updates in order to differentiate it from the standard model.
Talking about the new additions, the Touring Sport is to get a new wine red exterior colour scheme, glossy black paint on the front grille which is surrounded by chrome edges, new silver skid plates on the bumper, side skirts, new gloss black alloy wheels, skid plates on the rear bumper, Chrome highlighted ORVMS to name a few.
Talking about the cabin, the Innova Crysta Touring Sport is to come with the same interior design as that of the top of the line ZX trim of the standard Innova. With this special edition however, the MPV will come with a new fabric upholstery with contrasting stitching, touring sport floor mats and illumination on the door sills. The rest of the specifics are to remain the same as before. The MPV will continue to come with a multi-functional steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, automatic climate control and other creature comforts to name a few.
Similar is to be the case with the engine specifications of the Innova Crysta Touring Sport. The petrol derivative is to get the 2.7-litre motor with the diesel being available with the 2.8-litre engine and a 2.4-litre engine. Transmission responsibilities are taken care of by a 6-speed manual transmission while there will also be a 6-speed automatic unit on offer. Talking about the prices, we expect the Innova Crysta Touring Sport to retail at about INR 30,000 to 40,000 more than the standard ZX variant of this MPV. Currently, the price of the top of the line ZX petrol trim is slotted at INR 19,62,300 while the on for the diesel is at INR 20,77,930 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
