Tata Motors Presidents – Passenger Vehicles – Mr. Ranjit Yadav said “The Company would showcase the engine through Revotron Labs to customers across 15 cities. More engines would be launched under the Revotron series and subsequently would power the products from the company’s stable.”
Mr. Yadav also said, “We are working on a product strategy that started last year. The plan is to bring a couple of new vehicles every year; the new vehicles would cater to the global markets, and would be launched across categories.”
Talking about the engine of Zest and Bolt, Tata Zest is available with a 1.3 litre Quadrajet engine which will give max power of 90ps at 4,000rpm and will produce the torque of 200nm at 1750-3000 rpm, and the 1.2 litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged Revotron engine will generate max power of 85ps at 5000rpm and a peak torque of 140nm at 1750-3000rpm. While, the Bolt will be offered in petrol and diesel version, 1.2 litre Revotron petrol powered engine will produces 84 bhp /140 Nm and 1.3L Quadrajet diesel engine will produce 89 bhp/200 Nm.
