Tata is all set to bring the Tiago based compact sedan, the Tigor on 29th of March and the bookings for the same have already started. The Tigor has a neatly integrated boot and has a few additional features over the Tiago. We pit both against each other to find out the differences in price, engine and features.
Tata Tigor Vs Tata Tiago: Price in India
Tata Tigor is expected to price at a premium of over 60,000 over the Tiago which starts at INR 3.24 lakh and goes till INR 4.99 lakh for the XZ top model (petrol) while the diesel prices start at INR 3.99 lakh and goes till INR 5.78 lakh. Tigor petrol miht start from INR 4 lakh and go till INR 5.59 lakh for the top spec petrol variant while diesel trims will start at price tags of INR 4.60 lakh and go all the way to INR 6.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Tata Tigor Vs Tata Tiago: Engine Specifications
Tata Tigor and Tiago both are available in petrol and diesel derivatives. Petrol is a 1.2 litre unit with 84 bhp of power with 114 Nm of torque while the diesel is a 1.05 litre oil burner which churns out 69 bhp with 140 nm of torque and both are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. Tata Tigor Vs Tata Tiago: Features
Tata Tiago comes with front fascia comprising of follow me home headlamps and Tata’s humanity line on the chrome grille. On the sides, it gets 14 inch alloy wheels, power folding ORVM on the sides while the rear end comes with wraparound taillamps. On the inside, it comes with all power windows, 2-DIN audio system with JBL speakers, GPS, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. Tigor comes with smoked projector headlamps upfront, while the side profile shows off 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels on petrol and 14 inch alloys on the petrol version. Rear end comes with split LED taillights which are neatly integrated to the boot section. Inside the cabin, it is absolutely similar to Tiago with the only exception being the addition of the new 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. The boot is 419 litres on the Tigor with pneumatic hinges to hold it upright. All other features are same as the Tiago.
