Tata Motors once again forayed into the world of premium MPVs with the Hexa, after an unenthusiastic attempt done through the Aria. However it seems like with the Hexa, the homegrown automaker has finally hit the mark. Buyers have indeed started to show an inclination towards the Hexa and particularly towards its top end variants.
Currently there exists a high demand for the top of the line XT and XTA variants of the Tata Hexa. Similar in their features, the XT trim is the one available with the 6-speed manual transmission while the XTA is the one equipped with an 6-speed automatic one. The engine specifics too remain the same for both these variants. They are powered by a 2.2-litre VARICOR400 diesel engine which churns out 154Bhp along with 400Nm of peak torque. Talking about the prices, the XT 4×2 MT retails at INR 16,20 lakh, the XT 4×2 MT retails at INR 17.49 lakh while the XTA 4×2 AT retails at INR 17.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The top spec Tata Hexa XT and XTA trims come loaded with features like steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, cabin illumination, touchscreen multi-information display, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, follow me headlamps, LED projector headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-exhaust pipes, LED tail-lamps among the others. As far as safety is concerned, the XT and XTA trims come with Dual-airbags and ABS will be offered standard across the trims. Apart from this, it comes with Other safety features include Parking sensors, Corner Stability Control and Engine Drag-Torque Control as standard, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Roll-over Mitigation, Traction Control System, Hill Hold Control (HHC) and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
