Tata Motor’s latest product, the premium MPV Hexa seems to have got off to a positive start in India. Within a span of just one month, the homegrown automaker has sold over 1,498 units of this MPV-Crossover. The Hexa primarily competed with the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV500.
Hexa is the second product from the stables of Tata Motors to be based on its IMPACT design language after the Tiago. Even before its launch, the Hexa attracted a total of 6,000 bookings, majority of which were for the automatic variant of the vehicle. Read Also: Tata Hexa Price and 10 key facts to know
Based on the existing Tata Aria’s chassis, the Hexa is offered as a premium and quite a lot more stylish alternative to the former. With its sharp yet elegant styling, it surely stands out as a tough competitor for its rivals.
Not only that, the Hexa gets a feature loaded and premium interiors which can either be chosen with a 6 or a 7-seater layout. Some of the on-board features include a touchscreen multi-information display, CONNECTNEXT infotainment system, multi-functional leather wrapped steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat with tilt and telescopic steering column and much more. Powertrain responsibilities are carried out by the 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine which is available in two power guises of VARICOR 320 and VARICOR400. The former comes with the base XE trim and pumps out 148Bhp along with 320Nm of peak torque while the latter come on the XM and XT trims and generated 154Bhp along with 400Nm of peak torque. The transmission responsibilities are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox for the 320 unit while the 400 gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic trim as well.
The prices of the Tata Hexa starts from INR 11.99 lakh for the base variant and goes up to INR 17.49 lakh for the top of the line version.
