Renault Kwid was something never seen before in the entry level hatchback segment in India as it looked muscular in comparison to all the existing competitors while being compact. Now to increase the choices in the kwid range, the company will be launching the Climber variant. Here are the main differences between the two.

The prices of standard Kwid start from INR 2.65 lakh and go all the way to INR 4.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the RXT AMT variant.
The prices of the Renault Kwid Climber are expected to be in the range of INR 4.5 lakh to INR 5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Renault Kwid is available in a choice of std, RXe, RXL, RXT, RXt(O).
Renault Kwid Climber will be available in a choice of only top variants which include RXT and RXT(O) trims.

Renault Kwid comes with body coloured bumpers upfront with round fog lamps embedded in the bumper. The side profile consists of black cladding bordering the squarish wheel arches and the indicator is also integrated into the front wheel cladding. The rear end gives away that this is a hatchback and comes with bean shaped taillights.
Kwid Climber comes with a chunkier front bumper with plastic cladding over the fog lamps. The model also gets silver skid plates along with metal roof rails, dual tone ORVMs, Climber livery, bigger side mouldings and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The interiors of the Kwid are finished in black and grey while the centrally mounted waterfall console comes with GPS navigation, AUX, Bluetooth and round easy to use AC vents. The interiors provide best in class space and comfort.
The Kwid Climber will be coming in dual-tone upholstery in black and orange shade while the basic dash layout remains same as the standard Kwid.

The Renault Kwid is available in a choice of 800 cc petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual and a 1.0 litre engine with a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT transmission.
Renault Kwid Climber is likely to come with just a 1.0 litre engine option while the company will be offering a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT transmission.
