Renault India has launched the Climber variant of the Kwid which increases the choice further for those who like the entry level hatchback from Renault. The Renault Kwid is amongst the best selling vehicles in the country and offers a long list of options in its segment. The price of Renault Kwid Climber with manual transmission is INR 4.30 lakh whereas the AMT variant is priced at INR 4.60 lakh ( both ex-showroom Delhi)going to be available only in a single variant RXT.
The exteriors of the Renault Kwid Climber boast of an aggressive looking front bumper with silver skid plates whereas the fog lamps are embedded in the bumper as well. The side profile shows the squarish and muscular wheel arches with a thicker side cladding and dual tone ORVMs. The roof rails, spoiler and faux skid plate lend it an upmarket look. The interiors of the Renault Kwid are in dual tone shade of black and orange while the dashboard layout remains same as the regular Kwid with a touch screen navigation system with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity and a digital instrument cluster which is easy to use. The safety features are taken care of decently in the Renault Kwid as it comes with driver side airbag which is on par with the segment, front disc brakes, seat belt warning, engine immobilizer, speed sensing door lock and child safety lock.
The Renault Kwid Climber is powered by a 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which is capable of churning out a power output of 67 bhp along with 91 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Kwid Climber is also available with an AMT (automated manual transmission) as well.
