Renault India is going to launch the Climber edition of its entry level hatchback KWID today in India. Ahead of the launch, Renault dealerships have already started taking bookings of the KWID Climber at a token amount of INR 10,000. The KWID Climber was first showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and its going to be a aesthetic only update for the vehicle.
Talking about updates, the KWID Climber is to get a restyled bumper, new alloy wheels, dual-tone ORVMs, ‘Climber’ graphics, roof-rails and side body claddings. On the inside, the KWID Climber edition is to come with dual-tone seat upholstery, contrasting elements on gear-knob, along with ‘Climber’ insignia on the steering wheel. As far as the engine specifications are concerned, the Renault KWID Climber is to come only on the 1.0-litre version. This 3-cylinder engine is capable of churning out 67Bhp along with 91Nm of peak torque. Currently, the prices of the Renault KWID start from INR 2.59 lakh for the base 0.8-litre variants and goes up to INR 4.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top of the line 1.0-litre AMT trim.
