Nissan India has officially announced that its upcoming Terrano SUV will take its first public bow on August 20, 2013 in an event that is slated to get underway in the city of Mumbai.
In the last couple of weeks, Nissan's Duster-based compact SUV has been grabbing the spotlight rather regularly. First, the Japanese automaker released a sketch detailing the upcoming the model, which later came to be known as the Nissan Terrano. Rather unfortunately though for the automaker, the official brochure images, details and also the tentative pricing of the Terrano were leaked online. Not that we are complaining.
Earlier reports also suggest that the Terrano will come with a sub-Rs 9 lakh pricing for the entry-level model. The SUV will use the same 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Duster. Like Renault, Nissan too will offer the Terrano in two states of tunes 85PS and 110PS. The Terrano will be made available in a total of four variants – XL, XL(O), XV and XV Premium. It will be slightly more expensive than the Renault Duster although Nissan is expected to offer better quality interior and more equipment.
