12:41 PM: Prices announced, the new Dzire 2017 starts at a base price of INR 5.45 lakh with the top of the line model retailing at INR 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
12:33PM: The transmission responsibilities are to be taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox, while there will also be a 5-speed AMT on offer.
12:31PM: The engine specifications of the Dzire 2017 are to remain the same as before. The petrol derivative will be taken care of by a 1.2-litre K-Series VVT engine churning out 82Bhp along with 114Nm of peak torque. The diesel derivative is to be a 1.3-litre DDiS unit, producing 73Bhp along with 190Nm of peak torque.
12:28PM: The new Dzire is going to be a step-up in terms of safety equipment as well. The sedan is to feature dual-airbags with ABS and EBD as standard across the range.
12:25PM: Talking about features, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is to come with multi-functional steering wheel, a new touchscreen infotainment system which comes with Apple Car Play, Android Auto and Mirror Link connectivity, automatic climate control, rear air-con vents, rear seat armrests, electrically adjustable ORVMs, day and night IRVM among the others.

A few highlights include a new steering wheel with flat bottom, driver side tilted instrument cluster, chrome accents of the instrument cluster, gearknob and steering wheel. The dashboard also gets burl wood accents as well.
12:13PM: The new 2017 Dzire, in order to provide a proper sedan experience, is now 40mm wider, enhanced shoulder room at the front by 20mm and at the back by 30mm, increased leg-room at the back by 50mm and an up in boot space of about 62-liters, taking it to 378-litre.
12:08PM: The design of the New Maruti Dzire gets a sleek stance. The next-gen model now comes with a number of new features, these are to include the likes of auto LED projector headlamps, LED DRLS, LED tail-lamps, precision cut two-tone alloy wheels, new polygonal grille among the others.
