The new Honda City 2017’s base petrol model is expected to start from INR 7.9 lakh with the top of the line model likely to retail at INR 12.05 lakh. The base diesel variant of the same could very well start from INR 9.3 lakh with the prices going up to INR 12.45 lakh for the top spec model.

Petrol variant of the new Honda City 2017 is likely to give out a mileage of 14km/l with the diesel versions promising a mileage of 23km/l.

New Honda City 2017: Features
The feature list of the facelift City is going to include a new 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system, a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, touchscreen air-con control module with automatic climate control, sunroof, cruise control, parking sensors with rear-view camera and much more. On the outside, the new Honda City 2017 is to come with LED projector Headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail-lamps while there will also be a boot-lid mounted spoiler with stop-lamp.
New Honda City 2017: Engine Specifications
The Honda City facelift will carry forward the same engine specifications as that of the current gen model. The petrol derivative will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit churning out 118Bhp along with 145Nm of peak torque. The diesel derivative is to be a 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit producing 99Bhp along with 200Nm of peak torque. The transmission responsibilities for the petrol version is to be handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox while there will an a CVT automatic with 7 speed paddle sifters also on offer. New Honda City 2017: Variants
The 2017 Honda City Facelift is likely to be offered in a total of 5 trims. The trims comprise of S (MT), SV (MT), V (MT and CVT), VX (MT and CVT) and ZX (CVT). Honda is also bringing back the ‘ZX’ as the top end trim for the City which was last seen on the second generation model.

New Honda City 2017: Safety Equipments
In terms of safety features, the City facelift will come equipped with features like Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Brake-force distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Control.

When launched, the new Honda City 2017 facelift will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Nissan Sunny and Renault Scala.
