Honda Car India has now recorded a 9.4 percent increase in its domestic sales in India for the month of February 2017. The Japanese automaker sold a total of 14,249 units in this specified period in comparison to 13,020 units sold for the month of February 2016.
A major contributor to this figure is the Honda City which individually sold 6,318 units in the month of February 2017. Not only this, the automaker has revealed that the new Honda City 2017 has now managed to clock total bookings of 10,000 units, within just on month after its launch.
The second highest selling car for Honda was the compact sedan Amaze which sold a total of 3,924 units while following it closely was the Jazz whose sales figure clocked at 2,758 units. Honda is going to add a new product in its portfolio in India the launch of which is scheduled to happen on the 16th of March 2017. This new product is the WR-V Crossover which is based on the Jazz hatchback. Also Read: 2017 New Honda City: First Drive Report
Supporting a rugged exterior profile with other substantial changes on-board, the WR-V is to come with the same engine specifications as that of the Honda Jazz. Expected to be priced in-between INR 7 to 9 lakh, the WR-V will compete against the likes of Volkswagen Cross Polo, Hyundai i20 Active among the others.
