Honda Cars India has launched the new facelift of its popular sedan- Amaze at an introductory price starting at INR 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new 2016Amaze is powered by a 1.5-Litre i-DTEC diesel engine and a 1.2-Litre i-VTEC petrol engine. The diesel engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 99 bhp along with a peak torque of 200Nm, while its petrol engine generates 87 bhp of power and 109 Nm of maximum torque. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed manual gearbox and its petrol variant offers with a CVT automatic transmission. Tata Zest has the most powerful Petrol engine among its competitors. It received 1.2 litre petrol is capable of generating a maximum power output of 89 bhp and a powerful 140Nm of torque. Its 1.3 litre diesel engine is powerful enough to make 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. These power figures keep it at par with Honda's new Amaze. We then come to the all-important department of Mileage. This is where the Zest losses a lot of points for it is the least fuel efficient car in the segment in both the petrol and diesel variants. Maruti Swift Dzire
When we talk about the most fuel efficient car, it is the Swift Dzire that offers the maximum fuel efficiency in this segment for Petrol as well as diesel. It provides a mileage of 20.85kmpl for its petrol version and 26.59kmpl for its diesel model. Powering it is a 1.2-Litre petrol engine and a 1.3-Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 82 bhp of maximum power output and 115 Nm of peak torque while the oil burner produces 75 bhp power with 190 Nm torque. It is powered by a 1.2-Litre Petrol engine that produces a max power of 82 bhp of power and a peak torque of 113Nm of torque, while its diesel variant is capable of churning out 70 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 180Nm. Unlike its rivals, the Ford Figo Aspire is available in three engine options. Its 1.2 litre petrol pumps 87 bhp of power and 112Nm of torque along with 18.16kmpl of fuel efficiency. Its 1.5 Litre petrol produces 110 bhp of power and 136Nm of torque with 17 kmpl of mileage. Its 1.5 Litre diesel is capable of generating 99bhp of power and 215Nm of torque with an impressive mileage of 25.83 kmpl.
