If you look at the three most popular executive sedans in the country, the Mercedes E Class, BMW 5 series and the Audi A6, it's been quite some time since they got an update, except the A6, which is relatively new. Speculations and spy shots have time and again confirmed that both Mercedes and BMW are working on the E-class and 5-series respectively. And here's the proof:
Mercedes Benz has released a minute long video (almost), showcasing the new headlamp design of the 2013/2014 E-class. Gone are the split headlamps and in is a new, more sporty looking single unit. As expected there will be small changes in the front design, especially since the new headlamp will give the car a new look. Check out the video at Mercedes' official Youtube channel here.
We expect the German manufacturer to reveal more details soon. Like mentioned earlier, a 2013 launch is very likely. Mercedes has been working on the hotter AMG version as well, so expect the E63 to be launched around the same time as the E.
And if you haven't noticed yet, this car will be the first E after the highly respected and loved W124 to sport a single unit headlamp and that's something very special, especially for Mercedes fans. Isn't it?
We shall update you as soon as we get more information about the car.
Now lets just wait for the next teaser video from Mercedes!
