As according to our sources, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS has now been discontinued from India. The top of the line trim, which came with added aesthetic features, both on the outside as well as on the inside was available on both the petrol and diesel trims of ZXi+ and ZDi+.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS was basically a sporty edition of the standard Ciaz with its sporty nature being limited to just visual enhancements. Buyers choosing of the same got a muscular body kit which included restyled front and rear bumpers along with side skirts and new alloy wheels. Also included in the RS pack were a number of spoilers on board which included front under spoiler, side under spoiler, trunk lid spoiler and rear underbody spoiler. Other aesthetic modifications included projector head-lamps, alloy wheels, blacked out b-pillar and turn indicators on ORVMs.
On the inside, the buyers of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS got black interiors with chrome finished instrument cluster with creature comforts like leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and other standard features like steering mounted control, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear air-con vents, touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation system and much more. The Ciaz RS, if chosen in the petrol derivative got a 1.4-litre petrol engine which churns out 92Bhp along with 130Nm of peak torque while in the diesel derivative, got a 1.3-litre oil-burner producing 89bhp of power along with 200N of peak torque. The transmission responsibilities are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Talking about the prices, the petrol powered Ciaz RS retailed at INR 9.2 lakh while the diesel powered RS was priced at INR 10.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
