The Supra SAE, formerly known as Formula SAE, is an engineering competition that presents Under Graduate and Post Graduate engineering students with the task of designing, modelling and fabricating a Formula-type racing car / kart. With this competition having gained momentum with more than 1100 aspiring students signing up for this feat, Maruti Suzuki has announced that they will extend their support to this cause and therefore provide a broader platform for the students to prove their mettle. The 1100 students will be distributed across 44 teams, who will then be provided with Maruti Suzuki engines. The students will then design a Formula-type racing car with the Maruti Suzuki engine at its heart.
