To spice up the things in the premium sportscar market and to add yet another name to its Huracan range in the country, Lamborghini will today launch the Huracan Performante in the Indian car market. The performante is based on the standard Huracan and is also powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 engine which churns out 640Bhp along with 600Nm of peak torque.
The transmission responsibilities will be taken care of by a 7-speed dual-clutch unit, which is to send power to all the four-wheels through a clever 4WD system. The combination can take the Huracan Performante from o to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed of this track bred monster clocks at 325km/h.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante, apart from gaining horsepower, has also lost some weight in order to provide it with a better power to weight ratio. Lamborghini says that the Performante is about 40kg lighter than the standard Huracan.
Apart from this, the Huracan Performante also gets several aerodynamic updates. These include low riding side skirts, restyled bumper for better air-flow and a massive rear spoiler. All of these modifications and additions have made this sportscar lap the Nurburgring in just 6 minutes 52 seconds and 1 millisecond.
