Jaguar brought out their beautiful looking Sports coupe the F-Type in 2012 and was one of the most important product establishing. Jaguar’s racing heritage in the market. The Jaguar F-Type was a brilliant Sportscar that earned numerous fans but Jaguar not being content with the same has gone ahead and decided to bring about a 2017 derivative with a little change in the exterior looks and better technology.
The 2017 F-Type will see a new special edition named the F-Type 400 launch edition which is powered by 3.0 litre supercharged V6 engine which churns out a power of 395 bhp with 450 Nm of torque. The 5.0 Litre V8 engine will also continue to be offered in the facelift variant as well.
The minor styling changes include new multi-mode LED headlights whose focus and potency can be changed according to the setting. The bumpers have also been redesigned and the V8 version features bigger air intakes at the front to improve aerodynamic abilities as well. The rear end comes with smoked LED taillights.
On the inside, the facelift jaguar F-Type Coupe comes fitted with slimline seats made with magnesium alloy making these more comfortable and 8kg lighter as well. These also allow for better leg room for the rear passengers by 2 inches. It also features a new Satnav system with touchscreen and Bluetooth connection with the infotainment system making use of 4G connection for maps along with street view which shows a 360 degree view of the surroundings. Further additions to the cabin include chrome surrounds on engine start/stop button, gearshift paddle, air vent bezels and the steering wheel.
The catch here is that the special F-Type 400 launch edition will remain on sale only for a brief period of one year. It will be available in a choice of coupe, convertible form and with a rear wheel and AWD drivetrain.
