While everyone was running after spy shots of their station wagon Jaguar have themselves leaked the XF Sportbrake in a tennis ball camouflage. Although JLR has all the fronts covered with full size SUVs for Land Rover and their own mid-size SUV F-Pace, Jaguar has gone ahead and revealed the XF Sportbrake Station wagon.
Just because they don’t want to be left behind as even Porsche showcased the Station wagon iteration of their Panamera. But there’s a special reason behind Jaguar garbing the XF in tennis ball camouflage. Jaguar will be the official vehicle supplier for Wimbledon and their top player Andy Murray will be revealing the car.
From the looks of it, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake has an exact front fascia as the regular XF sedan which is increasingly similar to the recent models. From the sides, it is evidently sharing design with the sedan while the extended roof lends to its wagon characteristics.
As it will reach the US market first, it is expected to be powered by a 3.0 litre supercharged V6 which churns out 380 bhp of max power mated to a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Jaguar’s wagon is expected to rival the Mercedes Benz E63 S wagon in the American market. Although there is no update on whether it will be coming to the Indian shores anytime soon.
Jaguar has said that they will be unveiling the Sportbrake officially on 14th June ahead of the Wimbledon championship.
