Isuzu MU-X is going to enter the Indian market on 11th May but the details regarding the upcoming SUV have already been revealed in this brochure. Only the price remains to be announced which is expected to be in the range of INR 24 lakh to INR 30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Isuzu MU-X is going to offer features like Projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 6-way drivers adjustable seats, auto climate control, keyless entry and go, cruise control, 8-inch infotainment system with 8 speakers and a 10 inch DVD monitor for the rear passengers.
The engine options will comprise of 3.0 litre VGS turbo diesel mill that develops 174 bhp @ 3600 rpm with 380 Nm of torque @ 1800-2800 rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The power will be sent to all four wheels via 4X4 drivetrain while MU-X will also have the option of terrain control and ‘shift on fly’ for the 4X4 mode. Isuzu has claimed a fuel economy of 13.8 kmpl for the SUV.
The suspension setup consists of independent double wishbone suspension upfront while the rear gets penta-link suspension with gas shock absorbers and stabilizer bar. The anchor dropping ability is handled by 300 mm ventilated discs up front and 318 mm discs at the rear. MU-X gets 17 inch alloy wheels shod in 255/65 profile tyres.
The safety features comprise of the usual ABS with EBD, Brake assist, ESC, Traction control, hill start assist control, dual front airbags and seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters. The colour options will include Silky White Pearl, Orchid Brown Mica, Cosmic Black Mica and Titanium Silver Metallic. A standard warranty of 3 year/1,00,000 km will ensure peace of mind for customers.
