The new generation Pajero Sport shares styling with the larger pickup truck sibling the Triton. Compared to the current generation model, the new SUV look a lot sharper and appealing. Upfront is a bolder chrome grille that accommodates Mitsubishi logo at the centre, flanked by sleek and sharper looking headlights.
The wraparound taillight that equally extends towards both the side and the tin of the tailgate looks sporty. There is a chrome treatment above the registration plate that adds to its premium look.
The new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will share the engine spec with the Triton. It will get a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine that churns out 181PS of power and 430Nm of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is expected to replace the current 4-speed automatic gearbox. Along with an automatic box, the vehicle will also be offered with a six-speed manual transmission.
Upon its launch in India, the next Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will rival against the likes of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Endeavour and Ssangyong Rexton.
