Hyundai Motor India has discontinued the currently on sale i10 from the Indian car market. The model is offer for sale till the stocks last in the inventory. The i10 was launched in India as a replacement for the Santro Zing and soon picked up pace and was brought in by many.
When the automaker launched the Grand i10 in India, it planned to phase out the i10, but due to the still ongoing strong sales, the automaker decided otherwise. Now however, with the introduction of new models and in the lack of an update, the demand for the i10 has dropped significantly.
Not only this, Hyundai plans to launch a slew of premium products which meet the upcoming emission regulation norms and hence taking the i10 out of the picture seemed the right call for the South Korean automaker.
The Hyundai i10 came with a number of features which were a step-up above the rest. The Hyundai i10 was powered by a 1.1-litre, petrol engine while the transmission responsibilities are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The prices for the Hyundai i10, were placed quite competitively from INR 4.36 lakh to INR 5.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
