After the successful launch of Amaze compact sedan and Honda BRV compact SUV, Honda Car India is now gearing up to bring-in the facelift version of Mobilio MPV. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice-President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Car India (HCIL) mentioned at the launch of BRV that company is looking to introduce updated version of Mobilio MPV. Moreover, Honda is looking to enter into fleet market in order to drive more volumes. The new Mobilio MPV will also be introduced for commercial purposes. The refreshed version will borrow its interiors from the Amaze sedan which is expected to be better and premium in terms of quality. The dashboard will sport same dual tone scheme but features on the offer are entirely new. However, the overall appearance of MPV is expected to sport minimal updates which include somewhat revamped front grille, chrome accents on the front bumper and all new alloy wheels.
As far as the mechanical front is concerned, Honda Mobilio is expected to carry the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options. The petrol motor will produce 119PS of power with torque of 145Nm while the diesel mill will develop power figures of 100PS and 200Nm torque. The transmission duties will be carried out by a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Feature wise, the updated Mobilio MPV is expected to bag features such as touchscreen infotainment system display, reverse parking camera, all-new instrument cluster, same 3-spoke steering wheel and such other features.
