We informed you yesterday about Ford India planning to introduce a new infotainment system in the 2017 model of the EcoSport compact SUV and that the same is to go through a reduced feature list as well. Now today, curtsey Team BHP, information regarding the reduced feature list of the 2017 models of the Figo and Aspire have been leaked.
Going the this, all the model of the Figo hatchback and the Figo Aspire sedan will witness a considerable drop in its on board features across its variant range. In both the cars, the Ambient trim is going to lose out on features like passenger vanity mirror while the front grille bars and surround will now be painted in the colour black rather than silver.
The Trend trim is going to lose out on Lunar Grey interior appliqué on the audio and steering wheel Bezel and the driver vanity mirror. While there will be no full fabric door panel insert and the front grille bar will now be black in colour. The Titanium trim is going to lose out on driver vanity mirror and height adjustable seat belts while the Titanium trim will now also be devoid of driver vanity mirror. There will be no change done to both the cars in terms of their mechanical capabilities. The 2017 models will continue to come with both petrol and diesel guises. The former will have a choice of a 1.2-litre unit and a 1.5-litre engine, while the latter is to get 1.5-litre oil burner. The transmission responsibilities are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox while the top of the line 1.5-litre petrol gets a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. So far, no information regarding the price revision due to this feature revision has been revealed yet by Ford India. Nevertheless, the prices for the Ford Figo start at INR 4.29 lakh and goes up to INR 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the Figo Aspire retails at a base price of INR 5.77 lakh and goes up to INR 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
