Datsun is currently planning to increase its product strategy for the emerging markets including India, Russia, Indonesia and South Africa. Report suggest that the Datsun Go-Cross shares the same platform that also underpins the Go+ and that could be the strong fundamental reason for the company to accelerate its development as a production model.
The Datsun Go-Cross is likely to be offered with two engine options- 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel. The same engine range currently powers the Nissan Micra hatchback. It is expected to be priced marginally higher than the Datsun Go Plus MPV.
