In the battle for luxury car supremacy in the Indian market, Audi has maintained its steady growth and has gone to become the top selling brand in the Indian luxury car space. During the first quarter of 2013, Audi India sold 2,616 cars, marking a sales growth of 15 per cent over the same period last year.
BMW India, on the other hand, sold 1,465 cars of which 55 units were of company’s sub-brand Mini. Witnessing a sales decline of 40 per cent, the firm now stands behind Mercedes-Benz which has regained its second spot in the volume race, selling 2,009 units during the same period.
Audi India's supremacy can be traced from the fact that the carmaker has been steadily climbing up the sales ladder owing to its strong brand value and a highly successful range of products.
