Honda Car India launched the WRV crossover today in India at a starting price of INR 7.75 lakh for the base S MT petrol powered variant. We would also like to add that there are just two variants for sale in both the petrol and diesel derivatives. So the top spec VX petrol model has been priced at INR 8.99 lakh. The base diesel S MT variant gets a pricing of INR 8.79 lakh while the top spec diesel model VX loaded with segment best features is priced at INR 9.99 lakh (All prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The S MT model of the petrol and diesel derivative will be reasonably loaded with features which include LED DRLs and position lamp upfront with solid wing chrome grille, R16 trim wheels, ORVM and door handles, silver finished roof rails and side cladding. The interiors come with MID combimeter, adjustable front headrest, tilt and telescopic electric steering with integrated controls. 8.9 cm audio unit has USB, BT, AUX connectivity with front and rear speakers to emit sound. AC with all four power windows, accessory socket, foot rest, power adjustable ORVM and single horn will also be available. Safety features are more or less standard and includes- ABS with EBD, Dual SRS airbags, immoblizer, front and rear defogger, Day night IRVM and brake override system.
On top of the above mentioned features, the VX trim will come with one touch electric sunroof, 7 inch AVN with digipad, push start/stop (diesel only), cruise control (diesel only), black and silver seat fabric with double stitching, Front center armrest with storage control, USB and 12 V socket, Multi-view rear camera, front fog lamps, power folding ORVM with integrated indicator. Other features are rear wiper and washer, driver side one touch power window, front map lamp, tweeters, micro antenna and side vanity mirrors.
The engines on offer are a 1.2 L i-VTEC which churns out 88 bhp of power with 110 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox while delivering a mileage of 17.5 kmpl. The other one is a diesel engine which is 1.5 litre IDTEC unit putting out 99 bhp of power with 200 Nm of torque while mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while delivering a best in class fuel efficiency of 25.5 kmpl.
