Toyota Kirloskar Motors India launched the latest iteration of their existing Camry hybrid in India at an extremely competitive pricing of INR 31,98,500 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The Toyota dealerships have also started receiving bookings for the Camry hybrid which supports the company’s commitment towards bringing hybridization in India. The Camry hybrid also receives a price cut of INR 70,000 owing to government’s FAME scheme whose benefit is passed on to the customer.
The new Toyota Prius consists of several new elements such as new LED fog lamps which complement the stylish LED headlamps with DRLs upfront. Towards the sides one can see the stylish 15-spoke alloy wheels and auto folding ORVMs with reverse link and memory function. Add to that, welcome lamps which make it an extremely enticing car to enter.
The interiors of 2017 Camry hybrid consist of exclusive ornamentation which is to be found only on the hybrids, collapsible headrests for the front passengers, power recline rear seats, rear armrest with audio and temperature controls, 3-zone automatic climate control, power sunshade for rear windshield & manual sunshade for rear doors. To keep the comfort levels up and NVH levels down, the Camry hybrid is fitted with a high density dash silencer and acoustic windshield glass. The touchscreen infotainment system with navigation gets a user friendly interface and back guide monitor, wireless smartphone charger and is also coupled with 12 JBL speakers.
The Camry hybrid is fitted with a hybrid exclusive 2.5 L engine teamed with an electric motor and puts out a combined power output of 202 bhp which is mated to a E-CVT transmission which allows for a responsive and frugal engine. The testament to its fuel efficiency is served by the fact that it managed to deliver 19.16 kmpl which was tested under rule 1989 of CMVR. The saloon can be driven in Eco and EV modes.
