We informed you earlier that Skoda will launch the 2017 Facelift of the Octavia executive sedan in the Indian car market later this year. This speculation seems to be on the right path as now, the Czech automaker has commenced the testing of the new iteration of the Octavia in the India. As seen in the images, the 2017 Skoda Octavia gets a revised front facia, which now comes with split-headlamps with LED DRLs, slightly revamped front grille and minutely restyled front bumper. The side profile continues to get its sharp creases while its towards the rear that we see revised tail-lamps.
The cabin of the 2017 Skoda Octavia is to remain exactly similar to that of the current gen model. It will continue to come with a chunky steering wheel, sharp dashboard layout, leather upholstery and a number of creature comforts. In terms of its engine specifications, the 2017 Skoda Octavia, is to come with the same power units as it used to feature earlier. The petrol derivative is to be a 1.4-litre TSi motor, while there will also be a 1.6-litre TSi engine. The diesel derivative is to feature a 2.0-litre TDi motor. The transmission responsibilities will be taken care of by a 6-speed manual gearbox while there will also be a 7-speed DSG automatic unit on offer.
In terms of prices, it is expected that the Skoada Octavia Facelift is to retail in the bracket of INR 15 to 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
