Porsche has launched the 2017 Panamera Turbo series in India at a starting price of INR 1.93 crores (ex-showroom Mumbai) which comprise of the Porsche Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo Executive and the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. The new range of Panamera will be replacing the diesel models that were on sale until now. The Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo is priced at INR 1.97 crore while the Panamera Turbo Executive is going to be priced at INR 2.05 crore (both ex-showroom Mumbai).
Porsche is also going to bring the new hybrids for sale in India whose prices will be revealed in the coming days. The new diesel variants on the other hand will be launched in India in the next year 2018. The new Porsche Panamera Turbo range will be featuring a single engine type which is a 3,996 cc twin-turbo, V8 unit which churns out 548 bhp of power with peak torque of 770 Nm. The transmission duties with the engine are handled by a lightning quick 7-speed PDK dual clutch gearbox.
All three models have different weight and dimensions which is the real reason for the difference in the performance. The regular Panamera Turbo takes 3.7 seconds to dispatch the 0 to 100 kmph whereas the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo can do the run in 3.8 seconds. The slowest of the crop is the Panamera Executive which attains the 100 kmph mark in 3.9 seconds. Porsche India will also be offering the Sports Chrono package which cuts the time taken for a 100 kmph by 0.2 seconds.
Porsche Panamera Turbo has a similar exterior profile as the Panamera Turbo Executive but with a difference in dimensions. The Turbo Sport Turismo on the other hand, has a shooting brake design which looks understated but is pure Porsche when it comes to performance.
