We informed you earlier that Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automobile manufacturer is going to launch the much awaited 2017 Dzire in the Indan car market on the 16th of May this year. Apart from featuring an all new design, the most important part of this generation update is going to be the automaker’s new HEARTECH platform which is to underpin the Dzire 2017. This is because, due to the light wight nature of its underpinnings, there is chance that the Dzire 2017 could be the most fuel efficient sedan in its segment.
Now, as we have already told you about the same, the 2017 Dzire is going to feature the same petrol and diesel engine as that of the previous gen model. With the powertrain being the same, the major contributor in decreasing the fuel consumption of the sedan is its all new HEARTECT platform.

Its perol derivative is to be powered by a 1.2-litre VVT engine expected to churn out 82 Bhp along with 114Nm of peak torque. The diesel variant will get its share of power from the 1.3-litre DDiS oil-burner. Talking about the prices, the base variant of the Dzire 2017 is expected to retail at INR 5.5 lakh with the top of the line model going up to INR 8.5 lakh.
