Maruti Suzuki India Limited has itself teased the new upcoming Swift Dzire in a sketch which shows a sleek silhouette of the new compact sedan. The new Dzire is up for its global unveil on the 24th of April while the company has confirmed that it will be launched in India by the next month.
The sketch shows that the new Swift will be sporting ‘liquid flow’ lines which are present in the Baleno as well. The design looks well proportioned and the front fascia of the top end variant will be adorned with LED headlamps the kind of which also do the duties in the premium compact crossover hatchback Ignis.
The new Dzire compact sedan will be sitting on 15 inch multi spoke alloy wheels in a dual tone colour shade whereas the rear end will be the triangular wraparound units which are likely to have LED elements. The interiors have not been revealed yet but according to spy shots the use of faux wood, beige and black dual tone colour shade and leather wrapped steering with 7 inch touchscreen will make it a premium and feature rich car. The engine department will be the same 1.2-litre K-series petrol which churns out 84 bhp with 114 Nm of torque whereas the 1.3-litre diesel engine churns out 74 bhp of power along with 190 Nm of torque. The transmission duties will be handled by 5-speed manual gearbox whereas 5-speed AMT will be available as an option for the vehicle.
