As know to us already, Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the next-gen 2017 Dzire in the Indian car market soon. Now according to our sources, it is to be believed that the Indo-Japanese automaker will launch the new-age avatar if this compact sedan by the end of of this month itself. Not only this, though not official, several Maruti Suzuki Dealerships have already commenced un-official bookings of the 2017 Dzire for a token amount of INR 5000.
Talking about the car, the next-gen Maruti Swift Dzire is going to be a completely new vehicle from the ground up. it is to feature the exact same design language as that of the 2016 Swift but with an extended boot at the back, off course.
The test mule of this updated sedan has been spotted doing its testing rounds in India. The next-gen Dzire gets a sporty exterior design but with the basic essence of the sedan which is currently on sale in the Indian car market.
Up-front, one is to see a much more aggressive facia. New sweptback headlamps with LED DRLs, augmented bumper and a large grille, providing the sedan with a sporty look. The side profile, aesthetically looks slightly elongated with the rear profile adorning a completely new look altogether.

It is to come with multi-functional steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, reverse parking camera with sensors, speed sensing auto door locks, remote boot lid opener to name a few.
Talking about the engine specifications of the 2016 Maruti Dzire, the petrol engine will continue to be the 1.2-litre k-series mil while the diesel will be the 1.3-litre DDiS unit. The transmission responsibilities will be taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox while there will also be an AMT on offer.
Talking about safety, the next-gen Swift Dzire will come with dual-airbags, ABS with EBD as standard features across the range. With this, the prices of the compact sedan is expected to start at INR 5.5 lakh and go up to INR 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
