We earlier informed you that Hyundai, a South Korean automaker showcased the new 2017 Hyundai Creta Facelift at the ongoing Sao Paulo Motor Show 2016. Expected to reach Indian shores by next year, the new facelifted gets subtle changes on the exterior front. It now gets a restyled bumper, all-new larger conventional hexagonal grille, minor tweaked headlamps with feature LED DRLs, revamped bumper housing and new set of horizontal fog lamps. The compact SUV also seems to be bigger in terms of proportion. The rear profile of the Brazilian-spec Creta carries a new tail lights and a redesigned bumper.
The Brazilian spec model is offered with two engine options- a 1.6-litre flex-fuel and 2.0-litre flex-fuel options. The former is capable of developing 130 hp of power along with 161.81 Nm of torque while the former is good for 166 hp against peak torque of 201.04 Nm. The India-spec Hyundai Creta will carry same set of engine options – a 1.4-litre VTVT petrol, 1.4-litre CRDi Diesel and a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel. The transmission duties will be taken care by a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The facelift version of Honda BR-V challenger is expected to remain majorly identical to that of the current model which is expected to fall in the price bracket of INR 10 lakh to INR 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta has been amongst the hot picks in the Indian market presently and the car maker seems to be very much optimistic with the Compact SUV. As a reminder, the automaker recently introduced the Anniversary edition of the Compact SUV for celebrating the success of the mini SUV.
