The gruelling season of 2016 Force Gurkha RFC (Rainforest Challenge) is yet ready for another adrenaline-filled week of extreme off-roading. The 3rd season will see a participation of 25 Indian competitors across the country, of which some have had already tested their endurance and mettle in the first two editions. This year's season sees an involvement of lot of prominent off-roaders from Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh, KTM Jeepers and Bangalore Offroaders Development Association (BODA) with a pack of 4 entries from each of these off-roading clubs.
Also, Mumbai's Team Fairmont and Hyderbad's Charminar Off-Road Adventure Club (CORAC) will be represented each by two teams, respectively. Moreover, making their presence felt with single entry teams like Mudhogs from Sakleshpur, V5 Offroaders from Coorg, Incredible Offroaders Goa and Northern India Offroad Club (NIOC) will fight for victory.
The 2016 Force Gurkha RFC is scheduled to take place in Goa from 22nd July to 29th July. Jagat Nanjappa from V5 Offroaders and Tejinder Singh from Gerrari Offroaders secured podium position at Force Gurkha RFC South and North India chapters respectively held earlier this year. Henceforth, both of them have been rewarded with free automatic entry to Force Gurkha RFC India 2016. Malaysian drivers Tan Eng Joo and Mervyn Lim backed by Force Motors teams will be back to the grid to retain their top positions in the previous two editions.
Ashish Gupta, Founder & Director, Cougar Motorsport Pvt. Ltd., the company that organizes RFC India, said, “It is heartening to see the overwhelming response that we have received this year. With almost two months to go for the event, we have already closed entries. This year’s list of Indian competitors is the best I could have asked for with a balanced mix of new talent, RFC India veterans and seasoned offroaders. I think this is a culmination of all the hard work that we have done and the goodwill we have earned since we launched the event in 2014.”
The extreme off-road Motorsport event is a part of the RFC Global Series with 25 editions worldwide. It's Mother event takes place in Malaysia and is counted among the top ten toughest off-road Motorsports in the world. The Indian chapter, irrespective of just two editions is counted among the top 3 in the RFC Global Series by none other than RFC Founder and Creator Luis J.A Wee. The best Indian driver gets an automatic free entry to RFC Malaysia where he rivals against the best veterans from across the world.
