Few days back, we had reported that Bajaj is working on a motorcycle that will come in the same price range as the Dominar. In an interview to Money Control, Mr Rajiv Bajaj had revealed that the brand is working on a motorcycle that will be put in the range of INR 1 lakh to INR 2 lakh with its official announcement to take place under the next three months. Now, a recent report at Bikewale suggests that this upcoming motorcycle will be a Scrambler model and will come based on the Dominar 400.
The top honcho also said that this upcoming motorcycle will come either from the Dominar brand or KTM or from a completely new independent brand. The report also suggests that Bajaj Auto is currently busy in the registration process of the new brand. The company will also appoint a separate PR agency for the promotional work and campaigning.
In December last year, Bajaj Auto launched the Dominar 400 in India at a stunning price of INR 1.36 for the non-ABS and INR 1.5 lakh for the ABS version (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The prime highlights of the Bajaj Dominar include full LED headlamp, slipper clutch, digital analog instrumentation and a muscular power cruiser styling. The Dominar inspired Scrambler model, as the name suggests is likely to come with dual purpose tyres and several off-road bits to justify its name. Lets hope for the best and wish that Bajaj manages to price the Dominar based Scrambler well just like it did with the Dominar. Also Read: Bajaj Auto sees no scope in the 100cc bike segment
