Yamaha Motor India’s two products have recently won the prestigious India Design Mark (I Mark) certification by the Indian design council. With this, Yamaha has received this certification for the sixth year in a row. The company earned this certificate for the first time in the year 2012 for YZF-R15 V2.0, followed by Cygnus Ray in 2013, Cygnus Ray Z in 2014, Cygnus Alpha in 2015, FZ-S Fi in 2015 and lastly, Fascino and Saluto 125 in 2016.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 comes with a pleasant design philosophy and is easily the most good looking motorcycle among its competition. The bike with its sturdy appearance delivers the feel and stance of a big bike that helps it hold a handsome appearance in public. On the other hand, the Cygnus Ray-ZR is a male oriented scooter that has been designed keeping the youngsters in mind.
For those who do not know, India Design Council is an autonomous body of Government of India established under the aegis of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry comprising of eminent people in academia, design and industry organizations. The India Design Council has initiated India Design Mark in cooperation with Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). India Design Mark symbol is a trustworthy indicator of excellence. The symbol can be used in a wide range of ways, such as advertisements, catalogues, product packaging, and other promotional mediums.
Receiving the India Design Mark is an achievement for Yamaha as India Design Mark is the highest design recognition from the Indian Government through India Design Council. India Design Mark symbolizes excellence in form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation and communicates that the product is usable, durable and aesthetically appealing. It is also known to be an excellent launch pad for new products launched in the market, the company noted.
