Triumph Motorcycles India has recently teased its upcoming Bonneville Bobber motorbike on its official website along with its social media platforms. The bike has already been launched in the International markets and is slated for India launch in the coming days. Selected Triumph dealerships in India have started accepting bookings for the Bonneville Bobber at a token amount of INR 1 lakh. The Bobber will be launched in India either by March end or in early April this year.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber draws its power from a 1200cc, parallel twin engine mated to a six-speed transmission system. The fuel injected motor cranks out a maximum power output of 75.9 bhp along with a peak torque of 106 Nm. The fresh intake unit along with the new slash cut exhaust help considerably in pumping out an increased power output.
The chassis in the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is different from that of the frame that has been fitted in the Bonneville T120. The rear suspension on the Bonneville Bobber lies below the seat that helps in bringing out a pure retro bike appeal. This has resemblance to that of 1951 Speed Twin model by the company and hence, the company has somehow managed to keep the legacy intact.
The upcoming Triumph Bonneville Bobber is expected to be priced close to INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Indian two-wheeler market. Some sources close to the company have revealed us that the all-new Bonneville Bobber will arrive in India in three colours and the first lot of motorcycles will be limited to very few units.
